School day

I had the chance yesterday to spend most of the day at the school with the kids. First was Riley's mad scientist day. My mom came to watch Cole for me. Chloe thinks she is in Ry's class, so she had to come.

Here they are banging on a drum with a little dino on top to see the vibrations it makes.
They loved it! It was all very hands on.

Our mad scientist guy was so funny. He was so good with the kids! Here he is with his invention. It was bubbles that he put on every one's heads, even mine. I guess that's what you get for being in the front row. He also showed us dry ice and the things you can do with that. Very cool.

When we were done I took the girls home so I could go back to help out in Luke's class.
They were celebrating the 100th day of school. His teacher had really put a lot of work into the activities. They had made a soup earlier in the crock pot where they had counted the vegetables as they went in.
Here they are eating in later on.
(his teacher was cracking me up, she told me later that even though the kids had washed their hands, she had switched out the soups.)

They did a few activities and made these 100 day glasses which I got to cut out. I made them all pose for a pic before we left. I'm glad my 7 year old isn't the only silly one. His teacher assured me that Luke is by far the best kid.

It was really nice to get to see how Luke is in action. I liked getting to see how his classroom is run and how they all interact. The kids thought it was great that I was there. The little girls kept hugging me. I asked Luke when we got home if it was OK that I came and if I could come and again and he said it was good. I'm glad he still likes me! I did call him Lukie on accident while we were there. I won't do that again!!

I always love going to my kids' classrooms. It's fun to see how they interact. That is fun that you were able to be in both classes in one day. You are such a good momma. Oh and I love that the teacher switched out the soup, that sounds like something I would do!:)
