Happy Anniversary & Specialist visit

Today is our 8th anniversary! This is one of our engagement pictures. We were both totally different people back then. Well, I guess you could say "kids". I was 18 and Darren was 19. Crazy how time flies and how our family has grown since then. I'm so grateful we have the chance to be sealed together forever. We have had some tough times and lots of good times together. I wouldn't take any of them away. It has made us the people we are today. Darren is such an awesome husband and Father. I can't wait for the next 8 years! Darren, thanks for all you do for me, and more importantly, thanks for putting up with me! I love you so much!

A BIG SIGH OF RELIEF!

Today we had our visit with the perinatal specialist. There has been much stressing leading up to today. Just the worrying about the baby and actually dealing with the office and insurance and all of that good stuff. We were both so anxious today sitting in the waiting room and when they took my blood pressure it was very high! Once we got into the ultrasound though we were told that our main concern ( which was Down's Syndrome) was no longer a concern. He does have a little issue with his heart, but Chloe did also. Chloe's fixed itself within a month of being born. They think Cole's will fix itself even before then. We will see the Cardiologist next month and see what he says. I can totally handle that! Thank you to all of you who were thinking and praying for us. We truly are blessed!

The ultrasound tech practiced the 4D on us. We've never had one cause we are too cheap and frankly, they freak me out a little. A few of them turned out pretty cool, even though he is so skeletal still. I loved this one of his bony little chicken legs. They remind me of Luke's little bony knees, that he still has. We had to hide the pictures in my purse cause she wasnt' supposed to have done them, kinda funny!

Hey, I happened to talk to my doctors wife and gave her your name just in case you still need to continue going to a specialist and would want to get into the summerlin office. She said she would give it to her husband(Dr. Adashek). I didnt have your number, but since you were a patient in the practice before it should be ok. I know you arent one to ask for favors, but it wasnt a problem to at least ask. Hope things go well!!

happy anniversary! you are so young! :-) I'm glad everything worked out with the baby. did you know that there was cause for concern? did you have that blood test done or could they see something? I have heard of so many false positives, it makes me so nervous!

Wow, I can't believe that it has been 8 years since your beautiful wedding.
That was such a spiritual day; it really stands out in my memory. The stark white temple framed by dark mountains. Sweet yellow pansies seemed to bow their heads in reverent celebration as we walked the sacred grounds. Lauren and Stephen were so young. They told me that they could feel God’s love.
You and Darren are the perfect example of “A marriage made in Heaven.”
Congratulations!

And yes, we all are very happy and relieved to hear the news about Cole. Prayers are answered in miraculous ways. You should sleep very well tonight!

PS
It seems like yesterday that I folded 200 origami boxes for your reception. I had the whole family working on them, GIGI being my biggest helper!
