Skating

Yesterday we went to a party at the skating rink for Lacie's b-day. My kids have never skated before, so we were very excited to go.
I was under the impression other Mom's were skating so I paid for some skates, get em' on, and realize I am the only one skating! It's OK, I had a blast. My arms are sore from holding kids up from falling.
Luke, my little perfectionist child had a minor melt down for a bit because he couldn't skate just perfectly. He snapped out of it and finally got the hang of it towards the end.

Riley, Lacie and Jenna. Cute girls!

Me and Roo.

Morgan, Loryn, Chloe and Lacie. Loryn and Chloe did the best out of all the kids. Not sure if it's because they are closer to the ground or because they aren't afraid of falling.

Couldn't get any shots of Luke's face, so here's his skinny bootie.

We've decided we need to go back more often. Luke also wants to get some skates, which his Dad has quickly said, rollerblades.
Thanks for a fun party Lacie!!

I remember those days, skating backwards, couples songs and best of all the chicken dance. To be young again! The kids look like they loved it. I'm sure you'll be having parties there now too.

Looks like fun! I'm glad you skated too. :)

I love that Darren wants Luke on rollerblades, not skates. :)

You were the fun mom! It's been ages since I've skated.

You are so cute! I'm glad you skated. Looks like such a fun time. I always remeber loving it when my mom would let us go skating. That's probably a great activity for summers!:)
